Did you know that NO major league baseball players wear the number 42 anymore? 

It was retired to honor this man, Jackie Roosevelt Robinson, the first African-American man to play major league baseball in the modern era. 

Robinson faced harrassment, prejudice from opposing teams and even his own teammates, but he played and won.  He became a hero in the history of American civil rights.

Do you know that Hank Aaron & Barry Bonds did not have the most homeruns in the history of baseball.  Sadaharu Oh hit more than 800 homeruns for the Tokyo Giants.

Did you know that Hank Aaron, Jackie Robinson, and many others played in the Negro Leagues.  One player, Josh Gibson hit more than 850 career homeruns, but nobody is sure how many because good records were not kept.
