Fifth Grade- Team Color is Lime
Thank you to all parents, grandparents, and aunts who helped chaperone the fifth grade field trip to the St. Louis Science Center.  We had a terrific time and hope that you and the students did, too!

This is just a reminder to all parents and students that next week we have several activities that the students will be taking part in.  On Monday, May 19th, is the all school talent show beginning at 1:30 p.m.  On Tuesday, May 20th, we will be having a Civil War Day, where we will have a special guest coming in and activities planned around the Civil War.  On Wednesday, May 21st, we will be having a habitat day and students will be taking part in activities out in the habitat with a special Subway lunch.  Thursday, May 22nd, is the 5/6 kickball tournament in the afternoon, and Friday, May 23rd, is our Etiquette lunch at Mariah's.  We have an exciting week ahead of us and are looking forward to having some fun before the end of the school year.  Remember, last student attendance day is Tuesday, May 27th.
Math-We will collect math books on Monday, so be sure your book is at school.
Science- Students have an Adopt A Tree Project due on Monday, May 19th.  Many students have turned theirs in already, but please check with your student to see if they have theirs completed.
History - We are finishing our study of the Roaring Twenties, Great Depression, and World War II.  Students will turn in their books on Monday, so please have books at school.
Comp. - Thank you to everyone who sent food for our Cinco de Mayo fiesta.  It was delicious and enjoyed by everyone!
Lit- The Living Wax Museum was a huge success!  Thank you to parents/guardians for all of the help with this project.  Thank you, too, to all of the students.  Your hard work really showed!
Thank you to the fifth grade parents/guardians for the assistance and support this school year.  It was very much appreciated!  Best wishes to our students and their families for a happy and safe summer break.  Good luck to all of our fifth grade students, as they enter sixth grade.  We'll miss you!

Sixth Grade- Team Color is Pink
History
-The end is near!  Team 6 students have become very good detectives.  Their powers of deductive reasoning have been challenged and they were able to come to a logical conclusion based on evidence before them.  Next week will be a crazy, mixed up schedule.  However, students must turn in the Baseball and Presidents worksheet to Mrs. Greene.  Any other late work must be turned in during this week also.  We have finished all other work and will be collecting books and putting papers into their portfolios.

Thank you all for a great year.  Have a great summer!

Music Encore will be presenting "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" on Tuesday, May 20th, at 2:30 in the Commons. Parents, family and friends are welcome to attend!
Math-The sixth grade will finish with rocket probability and then turn in books.
The students have done a good job this year, please work on retaining some
skills over the summer months.  Mr. Jason would greatly appreciate that!

Mr. Jason will be tutoring this summer.  If interested, please contact him by email and he will set up times for the summer.
