Left for Dead
--Peter Nelson
Anyone who enjoys non-fiction and history-- particularly WWII history--
will find Peter Nelson's account of the sinking of the USS
Indianapolis, as revealed by an 11-year old boy's history fair research
project, fascinating.
This book follows Hunter Scott's investigation of a WWII ship
that secretly carried an atomic bomb.
Through accounts from survivors, this book reveals the horrors
endured in the waters of the Pacific and the tragic results of the
sinking for the ship's captain.
Moreover, Hunter Scott's story also illustrates the amazing
rewards that can result from dedication to asking questions and
unveiling the truth-- truth that ultimately exonerated Capt.
Charles McVay III.
