Snowball

Snowball is an organization to support kids not to do drugs or drink alcohol. The snowball organization goes to the elementary school and the middle school. This is to help kids say no to peer pressure. They go to the younger schools in the district to perform a presentation about drugs and alcohol and the influences it has on you.
The leaders of this group are Mrs. Brandon Mrs. Dennis, Scott Guense and Lindsey Hardwood. These people are in charge of the meetings and the projects that snowball do. They also come up with ideas for the themes that we do with the younger grades.
Around December and January they have a snowflake lockout at the middle school. This is for the seventh and eighth graders. This is so they can get a taste of what snowball is all about and how to say “no” and how to live above the influence.  Starting October twenty ninth through October second is Red Ribbon Week. This is a week where we have different days such as hat day, decade day , mismatch day and red day. This week supports a drug free lifestyle. This helps get kids involved in drug free activities.
Snowball also runs fundraisers to help support the organization.  Such as a bake sale and a fifty drawings. We will have a bake sale the Wednesday of red ribbon week during both lunches. We will also have a homeroom buyout for the whole week a dollar to buyout of homeroom. Monday will be the seniors, Tuesday will be the juniors, Wednesday will be the sophomores, and Thursday will be the freshman. This also goes to the snowball organization.
This is a great group to be apart of it supports a drug free lifestyle. This is also fun and learning experience for anybody. Come and join snowball for a fun and drug free time.
