This rubric is posted in the class and copies are available to students upon request.

 

Each of the assignment criteria categories may receive between 10 and 0 points. 

The categories are scored as follows: 

 

10 = Perfection.  No room for improvement.

9 = Very good work. 

8 = Above average work. 

7 = Average level work for this category

6 = below average level work for this category

5 = Halfway completed work for this category

4 = Less than half way completed work for this category

3 = Less than one quarter of the work completed for this category.

2 = Very little work done on this category, or poor quality, or did not fulfill requirements.

1 = Almost no work done on this category, or poor quality, or did not fulfill requirements.      

0 = No evidence of attempting to fulfill this category.

  

There are 100 points possible.  The number at the bottom of the page is your number of earned points.  That number is also your percentage grade for the project.

 

A+=98.5%

A =95%

A-=91.5%

 

B+=88.5%

B =85%

B-=81%

 

C+=78.5%

C =75%

C-=71.5%

 

D+=68.5%

D =65%

D-=61.5%

 

F = anything below 61.5%

 

 

 

1.  The student’s name, class and period were written on the back of the project.

 

 

2.  The student wrote the name of the assignment and it’s main objective on the back of the project.

 

 

3.  The student displays evidence of understanding the lesson’s objective through their artwork.

 

 

4.  The artwork displayed excellent craftsmanship and looked “finished”.

 

 

5.  The overall design of the artwork was well done.

 

 

6.  The student’s work area and materials were consistently clean at the end of lab time.

 

 

7.  The student was mindful of the classroom rules and was respectful of everyone and everything in the lab.

 

 

8.  The student made excellent use of their class time.

 

 

9.  The student’s work was original, and not copied .

 

 

10.  The student takes a serious approach to their studies.
